Dear much beloved former parishioners and friends,
At the end of this month, Sunday, August 25th, 2024 Pastor Wayne Lunderby will conduct his last service as pastor in Chilliwack (just a few days away from his 70th birthday). Not only has he faithfully served for 27 years here in Chilliwack, but also 3 years in Virden, Manitoba; 6 years in Hudson Bay, Mistatim and Prairie River and 7 years in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
As a part of his retirement, I would like to surprise him with a booklet of email messages or written mailed messages from our beloved parishioners of the past.
May I invite you to jot down some meaningful moments, some hilarious events or just fun memories of the past that can be shared with him. It can be about him, our family, kids etc. It can even be about the day, in his haste, he wore two different kinds of shoes to a church event. He (we) loved his years of ministry...so much so that he is still thinking of ways in which he can serve God: mission trips planned etc.
